So this Sunday I am teaching a few friends how to play Dropfleet. With two games under my belt and not a scooby about some of the finer mechanics this will be an interesting way to look over the rules and see the game. I have watched quite a few videos online about the game including the rather good Beasts of War videos that Dave was on. If you have not watched these yet then I would recommend them. Depending on how much of a disaster this is I will try write up a report and get a few pictures.
On the painting front its been a slow week. Working 12-9 is not fun and I haven’t had much time for hobby. Robute Guilliman arrived and I have started on the build for this. It is an epic model. Still 100% lost on how to set about this model but I will need to start soon.
The base is a bit weird. He stands on a removable bit of marble that will sit on a 32mm(??) base however this does not fit through the gap. I will magnetise the marble base to the plastic base so it can be removed and used in game. First of the magnets are in above.
Finished the second starter fleet. Went for a San Francisco, St Petersburg and a New Cairo. On the frigate front I went for a Lima, 2 Missile Frigates and an Aegis Frigate. The names escape me at the moment. I have ordered two of the New York(??) class Battleships that will be magnetised up for the carrier and battleship variants.
Until next time…
